Toros product update: Polygon, Optimism and Base leveraged tokens retiring

Toros is retiring a group of lower-usage leveraged tokens across Polygon, Optimism and Base.

This post gives holders one week’s notice before the affected products stop running their active leveraged token strategy.

From 12th May 2026, the affected products will stop running their active leveraged token strategy.

Long products will be moved into the relevant spot asset, such as BTC or ETH, and will no longer provide leveraged exposure.

-1x bear products will be moved into USDC, so their value will be based on stablecoins rather than short BTC or ETH exposure.

You will still be able to redeem after this date.

Arbitrum leveraged tokens are not part of this change and will continue to be supported.

Products expected to be affected

The affected products are shown below.

Why this is happening

This is part of a broader product clean-up.

Retiring these products lets the team focus more on the markets and products users are most active in today.

What this means for you

If you hold one of the affected products, you can still redeem.

Long products, such as 2x and 3x tokens, will be moved into the relevant spot asset. Bear products, such as -1x tokens, will be moved into USDC.

This means the products will remain redeemable, but you should no longer treat them as leveraged exposure after 12th May 2026.

After the affected products are hidden from the main product list, you can still connect your wallet and view any remaining positions from the portfolio section in the top right of the Toros app.

From there, you can redeem your position as normal.

What is not changing

Toros is still building.

Arbitrum leveraged tokens will continue to be supported, along with selected Ethereum products.

The wider Toros app remains active across Covered Call vaults, Short Volatility vaults, Protected Leveraged Tokens, and supported leveraged token markets.

This update helps Toros focus on the products users are most active in today, while continuing to build out the broader Toros product suite.
